Jason Spillner Memorial Award

Description: The Jason Spillner Memorial Award was created for students enrolled in the Police Science (Cadet) program at Holland College’s Atlantic Police Academy, honouring the memory of Jason Spillner who passed away in August 2022. Jason was instrumental in training others in law enforcement through Ravensberg College, located in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and it is his family’s wish to honour his memory by investing in those pursuing a career in law enforcement.

Criteria:Applicants must enrolled in the Police Science (Cadet) Program at Holland College’s Atlantic Police Academy. Applications must demonstrate financial need and include letter of recommendation from a Learning Manager at the Atlantic Police Academy that speaks to some of the qualities Jason embodied: perseverance, positivity, and a strong work ethic.
