Jason Spillner, in Memory of

Jason Spillner passed away on August 31, at the age of 49 after a three-year courageous battle with cancer. Jason was the beloved husband of Stacey McKinlay and the adored father of Krish and Kya.

Jason mastered many skills in his lifetime. He graduated from Saint Mary’s University with a bachelor’s degree and went on to create several successful businesses. Jason was instrumental in training others in law enforcement through Ravensberg College, located in Halifax, Nova Scotia which he established in 2005 fulfilling his dream. His legacy is the hundreds of young lives he helped enter the Police, RCMP, Border Patrol, Sheriff’s Office, and Security. His family, through the Ivany Foundation, created an award in his memory, honouring his beautiful legacy by investing in other law enforcement individuals. A $5,000 award will be given annually starting with the 2023 academic year.
