Canerector Foundation Scholarship Program
The Canerector Foundation is a registered, non-profit Canadian charitable organization founded by the Hawkins family, owners of Canerector Inc. — a group of over 50 companies that design and manufacture industrial products across a wide range of industries. Since its formal establishment in October 2019, the Canerector Foundation has donated over $20 million to Canadian-based charities that support communities across the country and around the world. To date, the foundation has focused on supporting skilled trades education, healthcare (particularly Ehlers-Danlos Syndromes), housing, and at-risk youth.
In 2024, the Canerector Foundation established the Canerector Scholar Program at Holland College to support students pursuing careers in the trades. The goal of the Canerector Foundation Scholarship Program is to promote the skilled trades sector, to develop future leaders in the trades, and to help graduates expand their networks and make a successful transition into the workforce.
Recognizing the shortage of trades professionals in the economy and the opportunities available to those who pursue these fields, the Canerector Foundation are funding these scholarships to draw attention to the wide variety of careers that begin with skilled trades education from leading community colleges.
Looking forward, as Canerector Scholars graduate and move into the workforce, the cadre of Canerector Foundation scholars will generate economic opportunities and activity in many sectors.
We wish the Canerector Foundation scholars all the best as they embark on their studies!
