Heckbert Family Entrance Award

Description: To celebrate his career and his time at Holland College, former Holland College CEO Ken Heckbert, and his wife, Alison Ann made a gift to establish the Heckbert Family Endowment, which will fund an entrance award for incoming students. Given the Heckbert family’s love of, and involvement in, varsity sports, their wish is to designate the award for an incoming player on either the men’s or women’s basketball, soccer, or volleyball teams.

Criteria: Applicants must be entering their first year of studies in a Holland College program, demonstrate financial need and have a minimum 70% academic average in their grade 12 year. They must also provide a letter of recommendation from a Holland Hurricanes Varsity coach.
