C.J. Waite Memorial Award for Carpentry and Heritage Retrofit Carpentry Students

Description: Ellen Clarke (Clarke Smith Foundation) contacted the Holland College Foundation to establish two awards in memory of C.J. Waite, a young man from West Prince, PEI, who held great potential and possibility. Tragically, C.J. passed away in January 2020 as a result of a snowmobile accident. It is Ellen and her husband, Steve Smith’s, sincere wish to honour both C.J.’s memory and their lifelong connection to the Waite family by establishing these awards.

Criteria: Applicants must be PEI residents from West Prince entering the one of the below programs. If no residents of West Prince apply, the secondary consideration will be demonstration of financial need.
