Joan and Regis Duffy
Regis and Joan Duffy are extraordinary champions of community well-being, with a deep commitment to advancing education and the arts. Their generosity has shaped transformative initiatives across Holland College, including the Centre for Student Wellness and Academic Success, the Florence Simmons Performance Hall, the Learning. For Life. Capital Campaign, and the Nourish Campaign for The Culinary Institute of Canada. Since 2014, the Duffy’s have also played a critical role in enhancing student financial aid at Holland College.
The Regis and Joan Duffy Awards in the Applied Sciences are available to Holland College students entering first or second year of the Bioscience Technology or Environmental Applied Science Technology programs, students participating in the Bioscience joint degree program with UPEI, and students taking the one-year post-graduate certificate in Bioscience. Recipients must aspire to careers in the applied sciences but face financial barriers.
The Regis and Joan Duffy Awards of Excellence in Performing Arts support for students in the Holland College School of Performing Arts who dream of building careers in the performing arts but who may face financial barriers, who show significant artistic promise as performing artists, or who stand out as exceptional talent.
