Chief Brent Crowhurst, in Memory of

Brent joined the R.C.M.P at the age of 18 in 1966. His career in policing continued for 50 years. He retired from the R.C.M.P. to take the position of Chief of Police, Lunenburg Police Department in 1992. He assumed the position of Chief of Police of the amalgamated Lunenburg/Mahone Bay Police Service in 1996. He rejoined the R.C.M.P. as Ops NCO of Lunenburg County in 2001. He retired again from the R.C.M.P. to take the position of Chief of Police of Bridgewater Police Service in 2002. He was inducted as a Member of the Order of Merit of Policing in 2009. He took a secondment to the R.C.M.P. as Bureau Director of Criminal Intelligence Service Nova Scotia in 2011 until the time of his passing in 2015.
